It could be that the infection has travelled further up to your kidneys, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible, you`ll probably need more antibiotics…..hope you feel better soon!
You have a urinary tract infection. you need to have antibiotics for this (trimethoprim). If left untreated it can track up to your kidneys and then you will be really ill.
i had it really bad once, I have a fever and the chills at the same time.. NEVER AGAIN!
yeah it can be really nasty. please drink a pint of water every half hour as well and you won’t believe how much better it will make you feel. cranberry juice is good at prevention as well. you should really drink a pint as soon as you feel the beginnings of cystitis, and then every half hour, then you should be able to prevent it getting too bad.
Yes I am afraid so, keep warm and drink as much cranberry juice as u can flush it out of your system hope this helps.
If you’re prone to cystitis, drink lots and eat sensibly – in fact you should cut out the dairy foods (milk, cheese, yoghurts, cream, ice cream, etcl) for a week, and mind your hygiene also. Urinate before and after sex, any type of ***.
I had recurring cystitis and got this advice from a specialist in Chinese medicine, I’d been taking antibiotics but they weren’t helping me, as it kept coming back. The specialist in Chinese medicine also gave me some acupuncture treatments which made me feel a lot better too. But changing the food was the key – then after this I’m afraid it’s all maintenance …
I think if you are feeling sick and shivery the infection might be a more severe UTI and you may need antibiotics – I’d go and see your doctor.
I have felt nauseous and pretty low with cystitis before. There tends to be two types – cystitis which is just caused by irritation to the bladder (treatable with the cystitis releif powders) and that which is caused by infection (usually needs antibiotics). If its an infection it can really make you feel rough as well as the burning/soreness/tummy ache.
I’d go and see your doctor about this as soon as you can.
