can cystitis clear up on its own?

i've had cystitis (or so i think) for about a week now, i've taken a diluteable medicine witch don't seem to help. i was told to go to the doctors if it didn't clear up within two days of taking the medicine, but i just dont have the time at the moment. im trying to drink a stupid amount of water and cranberry juice, but i also cant leave the coffee or alcohol alone.
is there anyway cystitis can clear up on its own? or maybe is there any home remedies?

Does anyone have experience in treating a very mild form of interstitial cystitis?
